Rome High School’s Beasley picked by Braves in MLB Draft

Rome High School standout Dylan Beasley has been selected by the Atlanta Braves organization in the 40th Round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. With the 1189th overall pick in this year’s draft, the Braves picked up the 6-2, 185 pound 18-year-old pitcher and infielder, and recent RHS graduate.

With the 1189th overall pick in this year’s draft, the Braves picked up the 6-2, 185 pound 18-year-old pitcher and infielder, and recent RHS graduate.  Beasley was named to the Georgia Dugout Club’s All-State Team last month, and also picked up first team 7-AAAAA All-Region honors.

Beasley wore No. 10 for the Rome Wolves, and committed to play baseball at Berry College back in May.  Dylan’s father David Beasley is wrapping up his 19th season as the head baseball coach of the Berry Vikings.
