The Rome Braves committed six errors Friday night at State Mutual Stadium, in a game that saw a long delay midway through.
Mike Soroka got his team off to a tough start, giving up six runs on eight hits in five innings of work. He didn’t walk any batters, but only struck out one. Dalton Geekie gave up the other five runs to Hickory in two innings of relief.
Carlos Castro kept his bat hot, going two-for-four with a run in the game, and Lucas Herbert picked up his fourth homer of the season. Salazar, Morales, and Grullon also had a pair of hits each.
