City Council to meet on ordinance changes to organizational structure

The proposed ordinance change seeks to amend the current code of ordinances to establish a more modern organizational structure for the overall management and administration of the day to day operations of the municipal corporation.

Early voting continues through the week at Courthouse Annex

The Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office is reminding citizens that early voting continues this week. There will also be a special Saturday of voting on October 29 from 9am to 4pm at the Gordon County Courthouse Annex at 101 South Piedmont Street. Nearly 3,000 voters have already cast an early ballot, according to the elections office.

Rasbury defeats Silvers in GOP primary runoff for Chief Magistrate

The Republican Primary runoff election for the Chief Magistrate position in Gordon County came to a close Tuesday night as Pat Rasbury defeated incumbent Ricky Silvers with just over 58 percent of the vote. A total of 2,356 voters decided the race to decide the Republican nominee. Rasbury carried 58.47 percent, while Silvers received 41.53 percent of the votes.

Primary election early voting numbers for Gordon County

With just three days left of early voting before the May 24th primary election, the Gordon County Board of Elections has had over 1,000 people vote so far. As of May 17, Gordon County has had 1023 voters to cast their ballot early, according to Elections Chairperson Shea Hicks. "One non-partisan voter, 51 democratic ballots and 972 republican ballots. We have mailed out 20 democratic [absentee] ballots, 117 republican ballots and zero non-partisan ballots," Hicks told AllOnGeorgia.
