Castro stays hot, but Rome can’t overcome Weigel’s rough start

Patrick Weigel didn’t have his best stuff Thursday night at home, moving to 5-4 on the season as Hickory beat Rome 9-4. Weigel’s final line was seven runs – five earned – on eight hits in four innings of work. He walked one, struck out one, and gave up a homer.

Carlos Castro stayed hot, going two-for-three with a run and a walk.  Luke Dykstra was two-for-four with a run and two of his team’s RBIs.
