Four members of Walker County Fire Rescue recently attended Georgia Fire Academy’s Trench Rescue Technician course. The class was hosted by Catoosa County Fire Department and was attended by several nearby departments.
This labor-intensive training covered shoring and stabilizing trenches, heavy lifting, patient care, and rescue methods for removing victims from a collapsed trench. We’d like to congratulate Captain Askew, Lieutenant Mims, Sergeant Bass, and Firefighter Blair on successfully passing the written and practical exam and advancing their skills to better serve the citizens of Walker County.
