$10,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Hinesville

A winning ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Hinesville in the July 31 Mega Millions drawing.

The ticket was purchased at El Cheapo, located at 250 W. General Screven Way.

Winning numbers from the July 31 Mega Millions drawing were: 12-35-46-48-69 and the Mega Ball was 23. The ticket matched four of the first five winning numbers plus the Mega Ball.

A winner has not come forward to claim the prize yet.

Mega Millions winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.

Mega Millions tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $20 million to a single annuity winner.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $22.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
