The Rome Braves’ only hit Sunday came from catcher Lucas Herbert, who also reached base with a walk in the game. Aside from another walk drawn by Yeudi Grullon, Rome’s offense was stagnant in the combined one hitter from the Grasshoppers staff.
Rome’s pitching staff had just as rough an outing, allowing a combined seven runs on 12 hits. Of the four Braves pitchers in the 7-0 loss, only Grayson Jones didn’t give up any hits or runs, posting two innings of work.
