After Wednesday night’s game was rained out, the Rome Braves played two seven inning games with Hickory on Thursday.
Rome took game one, which was a 10:34 start, Oriel Caicedo walked away with a 4-3 relief win after Touki Toussaint went five innings, giving up two runs on five hits for the Braves. Justin Ellison got his second homer of the year.
The Braves couldn’t get runners across in game two, getting shut out by the Crawdads 6-0 in game two. Mike Soroka gave up four earned runs, six runs total in his start. Rome’s bullpen combined for three scoreless innings, but the offense couldn’t get it going.
