Rome Braves score eight in 19th inning, beat Hickory 10-2

The Rome Braves might have played in the most interesting game in baseball Sunday afternoon, going 19 innings with Crawdads on getaway day in Hickory. In a game that was tied 1-1 from the top of the second on, a total of 29 hits and seven errors made for one of the wildest games in professional baseball over the weekend.

In a game that was tied 1-1 from the top of the second on, a total of 29 hits and seven errors made for one of the wildest games in professional baseball over the weekend.

Both teams scored a run each in the 18th innings, but an eight-run top of the 19th by the Braves off Hickory’s shortstop Dylan Moore put the game away for Rome.  Yes, you read that right… a shortstop.
