After letting the Riverdogs tie the game up in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday night, the Braves got the last laugh with a 6-4 win in 12.
Ricardo Sanchez started the game for Rome, going six innings. He gave up three earned runs on eight hits – two of those homers – while striking out three and walking two.
The offense had a somewhat productive night, racking up a dozen hits for Rome. Charleston also had 12 hits.
Jared James had a 2-for-6 night with two runs for the Braves, while Justin Ellison also had a pair of runs in the game. Carlos Castro went 2-for-5 on the night, and Ray-Patrick Didder had a hit, and run and two walks for Rome.
