Charleston walks off, beats Rome 3-2 in extra innings

A solid start from Rome starter Patrick Weigel gave his team a shot Wednesday afternoon at Charleston, but the bullpen gave up a 10th inning walk-off run, giving the Riverdogs a 3-2 win. Weigel went six innings, giving up two earned runs on three hits. He struck out four batters, and walked two. Matt Custred followed Weigel for 2/3 an inning, giving up a hit and walking two, but Corbin Clouse – who pitched a scoreless 2 and 1/3 innings, didn’t allow any base runners to score. It would be Dalton Geekie who would take the loss, giving up the walk-off run in the 10th after walking a batter.
