The No. 1 ranked Calhoun Yellow Jackets ended their season at 13-1 Friday night on the road at Blessed Trinity in Roswell with a tough semi-final loss.
After a low-scoring defensive first half, Calhoun led 7-2, but gave up a field goal and touchdown in the second half to go down 7-12, and the time kept ticking down. The Jackets had a chance to win the game, driving down to the Blessed Trinity four yard line with as short clock, and two time outs in their pocket, but a tough Titans defense eventually ended Calhoun’s chances with a fourth down sack. A victory formation snap would send Calhoun’s opponent to the Georgia Dome.
The 29 man Yellow Jacket class of 2015 left the field in Roswell Friday night with an impressive career total of 53 wins and a state title.
