Calhoun’s Henderson recognized for 500th win by Georgia Dugout Club

Coach Chip Henderson was recognized this on Friday by the Georgia Dugout Club for the accomplishment of 500 career wins as a head coach. In 21 seasons at the head of Calhoun’s baseball program, Henderson has compiled a record of 503-140, including three state championship teams (2000, 2005, 2010).

In 21 seasons at the head of Calhoun’s baseball program, Henderson has compiled a record of 503-140, including three state championship teams (2000, 2005, 2010).

Henderson played baseball at Calhoun High School, and later at Shorter College, and was Henderson was also named Captain of the 1991 G.I.A.C. championship team.  He was inducted into the Calhoun/Gordon County Sports Hall of Fame earlier this year.  The Yellow Jackets coach has also received the Joe Hackett Award for Leadership and Character.
