Live in Aragon? Interested in a city council seat? Well, so far, Aragon only has one person who has stepped up to be a candidate.
The City of Aragon’s qualifying for a local seat re-opened Monday and will remain open until noon today with only one candidate signed up so far.
On Tuesday Debora Pittman filed her paperwork and paid her $36 qualifying fee to the Board of Elections to officially jump into the race. And so far, she’s running completely unopposed.
The council seat is left open by Mayor Curtis Burrus.
Pittman is a certified nursing assistant and has been an Aragon resident for the past 13 years.
