Anna K. Davie Elementary School’s Great Bike Giveaway

Well behaved students at Anna K. Davie Elementary had the chance to win an awesome gift this year.

The P.A.C.K. Great Bike Giveaway is part of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.

P.A.C.K. stands for Positive Actions Create Kindness, AKD’s PBIS motto. At AKD, students earn points for their positive actions in the classroom, throughout the building, and toward their peers, educators, and administrators.

This month, in the spirit of the holiday season, the AKD PACK team spearheaded the Great Bike Giveaway. Students who earned positive behavior referrals earned one free ticket. Students earn positive behavior referrals from their teachers for their outstanding behavior.

Students could also purchase an opportunity to win a bike with their PBIS points. The more points earned for positive behavior, the more chances to win! Ms. Felisha Jackson, AKD Principal, said they had over 100 students participate.

This year’s winners are Genay Moye and Dantarrius Williams (not pictured) who is a virtual learning student.
