The Claxton Tigers won another big region show down against Bryan County 6-0 Tuesday night
at Tiger Town. Hayden Morris was dominating on the bump. He pitched another region shutout
scattered 4 hits over 7 innings striking out 13 with no BB. “It is exciting to watch Hayden work
out there, his fastball had some extra life tonight”, said Head Coach, Andy Yanzetich. Karon
Taylor went 2 for 2 with 2 BB, 2 runs and a SB. Cooper Yanzetich had 2 Doubles and a RBI.
Landon Hendrix tripled. The Tigers scored 1 in the first and put the game away in the 5th with a
5 run inning. The Tigers did the damage on the base paths tonight with 6 SB and moving up on
3 Pass balls/wild pitches. Next game is Thursday (Teacher Appreciation Night) at home against
Liberty County, first pitch is set for 6pm.
The Tigers are now 9-5 overall and 5-2 in Region Play. Morris is 4-1 on the mound with a meniscal .977 era
