Tiger Bats Explode against Jenkins County

As the weather warms up so have the the bats for the Claxton Tigers.  The Tigers pounded out 13 hits including 7 extra base hits in Tuesday nights region contest. Hayden Morris picked up another

win on the mound.  Morris only allowed 2 hits to the Eagles. Dakota Haire finished night with 2 strong innings. But the story was the hitting display by the Tigers put. The offense was led by

Tanner Henry , Karon Taylor, Cooper Yanzetich, Landon Hendrix, and Hayden Morris. All of these young men had 2 hits apiece.  Lead off hitter, Robbie Lane, reached base 4 times with a couple

of stolen bases. Yanzetich led the team in RBI’s with a 3-run Homer that opened up the game in the bottom of the 4th. Claxton will travel to Liberty County on Thursday, then play Jenkins County

again on Friday in Millen, Ga.   The Tigers now move to 6-5 and 3-2 in Region Play.
