Weigel shines, Riley homer in 4-1 Rome win over Hagerstown

A rehabbing Arodys Viscaino got a one-inning start Tuesday night against Hagerstown, making way for Patrick Weigel, who followed with seven scoreless innings in a 4-1 win. The Suns’ only run was charged to Viscaino in the first inning, then Weigel – now 10-4 – shined in middle relief, giving up no runs on three hits, striking out nine. He only walked two in the outing. Corbin Clouse picked up his second save of the season.

Austin Riley homered for Rome in the fourth inning, his 15th of the season.  He had two RBI’s in a 2-for-4 outing with a run.

Jonathan Morales also went 2-for-4 for Rome, while Ray-Patrick Didder went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
