FCS and Floyd Medical Partner to Bring Vaccination Events to Area High Schools

Floyd County Schools (FCS) has announced they will be partnering with Floyd Medical to offer community-wide Covid-19 vaccination events to all FCS families and the general public 16 years of age and older in the four FCS attendance areas

 

 

Floyd County Schools (FCS) has announced they will be partnering with Floyd Medical to offer community-wide Covid-19 vaccination events to all FCS families and the general public 16 years of age and older in the four FCS attendance areas on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 2 to 6 p.m. Armuchee High- New Gym and Pepperell High- Old Gym

  • Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 2 to 6 p.m. Coosa High- Main Gym and Model High- Cafeteria

According to CDC guidance, fully vaccinated people with no COVID-like symptoms do not need to quarantine or be tested following an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, as their risk of infection is low.

Anyone interested in receiving the Covid-19 vaccine administered by Floyd Medical nurses at one of the four Floyd County high schools should sign up using the appropriate scheduling link below. For full consent, a parent or guardian will need to be present on-site during the administration of the vaccine for those under the age of 18.
