Statesboro Police Dept Investigating Shooting at Stadium Walk Apartments

Detectives with the Statesboro Police Department are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting at Stadium Walk Apartments on Lanier Drive. A male victim was transported to EGRMC and then airlifted to Memorial in Savannah. Detectives have identified witnesses and physical evidence, and continue to seek anyone who observed the shooting.

From SPD:

On 4/11/23 at 4:15 p.m. SPD patrol officers and detectives responded to Cambridge at Southern the Palms (130 Lanier Drive) for a male reportedly shot. Officers arrived and rendered aid until the male could be transported by EMS to East Georgia Regional. From there, he was airlifted to Memorial in Savannah where he remains under treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting occurred on the property of the adjacent Stadium Walk Apartments (140 Lanier Drive) after which the victim fled to Cambridge where he had relatives and associates . As detectives processed the scene they identified witnesses and physical evidence, but continue to seek anyone who observed the shooting.
