Chattooga Lady Indians Blow Out Armuchee, 8-1

Chattooga Lady Indians had all cylinders firing on offense on Wednesday, winning big over the Indians from Armuchee, 8-1.

Chattooga got on the board in the second inning when Emma White singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. The Lady Indians Varsity put up three runs in the seventh inning. Chattooga’s big bats in the inning were led by a single by Gracelyn Veitch and a double by White.

Hannah Thrasher led the Chattooga Lady Indians to victory in the circle. She lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out nine.
Barnes took the loss for Armuchee. She went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 15 hits, striking out three and walking zero.

Chattooga racked up 15 hits on the day. Sydney Marshall, White, Jacie Martin, Veitch, and Ramsey Elrod all managed multiple hits for the red Indians. White and Marshall each collected three hits.

Chattooga didn’t commit a single error in the field. Grace Dooley had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

The lady Indians travel to Gordon Central today, varsity game starts at 5:00 p.m., JV game will follow after varsity game.
