Chattooga County School District will offer FREE breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2025–2026 school year. Providing healthy meals at no cost helps ensure that all students are ready to learn and thrive each day.
This is made possible through CCSD’s participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a program supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Thanks to CEP, families do not need to complete a meal application.
However, we kindly ask families to complete a short, confidential survey to help our district collect essential information used to support educational funding and services. This survey is critical in determining the amount of money the school receives from various supplemental programs such as the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Grant, After-School Snacks, and Seamless Summer Options. Without your assistance, the school system cannot maximize the utilization of available resources.
A letter with more details, including instructions for completing the survey, will be available at the Meet the Teacher event and will also be sent home with students on the first day of school.
Offering free meals to all students removes barriers, supports stronger academic performance, and ensures that no student faces stigma related to meal access. We are proud to offer this program, which supports student success.
If further assistance is needed, please contact the school nutrition department, 706-859-3054.
