Six RBI Day For Emma Howard Spells Out Victory For Chattooga Lady Indians Over Southeast Whitfield County Raiders Varsity

Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity defeated Southeast Whitfield County Raiders 13-1 on Monday thanks in part to Emma Howard, who drove in six runners. Howard drove in runs on a home run in the first, a double in the third, and a single in the fourth.

Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Howard drove in three when she homered.

Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity tallied five runs in the fourth inning. Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity offense in the inning was led by Hannah Thrasher, Howard, Ramsey Elrod, Gracelyn Veitch, and Emma White, all driving in runs in the frame.

Clara Wyatt was the winning pitcher for Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out four and walking zero. Thrasher threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Thrasher recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity.

“I am very proud of our team they play together they are like a family Clara and Hannah did a great job pitching Emma Ann did a great job hitting very proud of her We had other ladies with multiple hits,the team believes in each other. We got a big game tomorrow against Armuchee our first region game,” Head Coach Jeff Bennett said.

Kaylee Taylor took the loss for Southeast Whitfield County Raiders Varsity. She lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out one.

Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Howard went deep in the first inning.

Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity totaled 13 hits. Elrod, Howard, and Wyatt all managed multiple hits for Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity. Elrod went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Chattooga Lady Indians Varsity in hits.

Emma Long led Southeast Whitfield County Raiders Varsity with two hits in two at bats.
