WLTZ 38 loses two veteran leaders

Change is in the air at WLTZ 38 in Columbus, Ga.
In a single day, the NBC affiliate’s leadership team lost nearly 22 years of local broadcast experience with the departure last week of both General Manager Drew Rhodes and General Sales Manager Fred Steppe.

For Aletheia Digital in Columbus it proved to be a package deal as the WLTZ 38 duo joined the local digital marketing firm. In the changeover, Rhodes becomes President and CEO and Steppe assumes the role of Executive Vice President.

The local television station is owned by Sagamore Hill Broadcasting LLC of Columbus and Augusta. The Georgia-based company owns and operates 13 TV stations in the Great Lakes and southern regions of the United States.
