The Rome Braves won their sixth straight Tuesday night in a 6-3 victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators.
Ricardo Sanchez got the start and the win, going seven innings for the Braves. He gave up one run on four hits, striking out nine, while walking three batters.
Josh Graham gave up two additional runs, but was credited with his third hold of the season. Corbin Clouse picked up his fourth save in the win.
Carlos Castro went 3-for-4 in the game, picking up a run and two RBI’s. Justin Ellison also had a solid showing, going 2-for-2 with three runs, and an RBI. He also walked twice, and both of his hits were doubles.
With the win, Rome hangs onto first place in the South Atlantic League Southern Division for the second half standings.
