Rome’s Toussaint only allows 2 hits in 4-2 loss to Charleston
The Rome Braves struggled to find enough offense Tuesday night to catch up to the Charleston Riverdogs in late innings, losing 4-2. Touki Toussaint allowed no runs on just two hits in six innings, recording a career high nine strikeouts, while walking just three batters. Toussaint’s 74 game score was his best since he pitched six no-hit innings back in July of 2015, and ties the team best for the team this season. He left the game up 1-0, but three runs for Charleston in the eighth gave him a no-decision on the night.
