Rome smothers Charleston with offense, wins 12-3 Thursday

Racking up 17 hits in Thursday night’s game against Charleston, Rome gave starting pitcher Max Fried plenty of breathing room in an impressive outing of his own. Fried went six innings, giving up only one earned run on a solo homer, six hits, and struck out six, bumping his record up to an even 5-5 on the season.

The Braves had three players with three hits on the night, and Riley, Ellison, and Castro all had homers in the game.  Justin Ellison alone plated four RBI’s.
