The Rome Braves picked up a 9-1 win over the Greenville Drive Wednesday night, breaking a three game losing streak.
Mike Soroka pitched a gem, evening his season record to 9-9. In seven innings, he gave up one run on three hits, and struck out nine. Soroka issued just one walk in the game. Josh Graham and Corbin Clouse each threw an inning of scoreless relief.
Austin Riley stayed red-hot, going long in the seventh inning on a 2-for-3 night. It was homer number 19 on the year. Riley drove in three runs, and scored himself three times, walking twice.
Not to be outdone, Ronald Acuna also homered, and went 3-for-5 in the game. He also scored three runs, and drove in one.
