CHS Cross Country participates in Rome All-Area Banquet

Calhoun Schools and Jacket Nation were well represented throughout Georgia this weekend, including the Rome All Area cross country banquet.  On top of the previously released rewards, several individuals earned more recognition.  Coach Raymond Hobby was named coach of year and David Murillo was named boys runner of the year.  What a great end to a great season!

Several Calhoun cross country runners will participated in the Rome All-Area banquet this Friday evening at Berry College.  The event was hosted by the Go-Go running club and will featured guest speaker Ryan Hall, who is an Olympic athlete and holds the American record for the marathon with a time of 2:04:58.  For the boys, David Murillo, Jason Sosa, and Esvin Garcia were all area first team members. Ethan Kemp, Eric Garcia, Julio Lopez, Jonathan Santana, and Samuel Kemp will be recognized as members of the All Area Honorable Mention team.  For the girls, Emily Driscoll made the All Area Honorable Mention team.  Congratulations to these Yellow Jackets.
