Austin Riley on Touki Toussaint’s curveball

ROME, GA — This past week, our hometown Rome Braves caught up with third base prospect Austin Riley and asked him about Touki Toussaint‘s curveball. 

The question posed to Riley was if he had ever tried to ever hit Touki’s curveball. He basically said that his curveball is “absolutely filthy.” He goes on to talk about his path to the majors.

Over his last 10 starts, Touki Toussaint has posted a solid 2.78 ERA with a whopping 64 strikeouts.

Austin Riley has been on fire since the All-Star break after having a relatively slow start to his season in Rome. Since the break, he’s been slashing .289/.331/.555 with 7 home runs.
