9th inning rally falls short as Greenville beats Rome 5-4
Rome starter Kolby Allard gave up five runs to Greenville Thursday night on the road, and it would be all the Drive would need to beat the Braves 5-4. Allard went six innings, giving up five earned runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked four in the outing, giving up on homer. Matt Custred and Oriel Caicedo each had scoreless outings in relieve for Rome.
