Trion’s Cross Country Advances to State Meet

Trion High School’s Cross Country boys and girls teams have qualified to advance to state.

Trion boys had two finish in the top 6, Dawson Brown was 3rd and Eli Hutchins was 5th and automatically advanced to state. Brown’s  time of 18:15 set a new school record. Hutchins’ time was 18:23.

Trion boys team placed second and the girls placed 3rd, both boys and girls will advance to state as a team.

The 2020 GHSA Cross Country State Championships, presented by Atlanta Track Club, will be held November 6-7 at the Carrollton Course. Defending champions are: boys – Walton, Harrison, Decatur, St. Pius, Westminster, Oglethorpe County, Commerce and Wesleyan; girls – Hillgrove, Cambridge, McIntosh, St. Pius, Westminster, Bleckley County, ACE Charter and Holy Innocents’.
