TMS Competition Cheerleaders Enjoying a Great Season

Trion Middle School is enjoying much success this fall with the undefeated football team and the competition cheerleading team that has finished in first place in three competitions.

Trion Middle School Cheerleaders have attended the following competitions: September 21st at Lafayette the team took 1st place. On September 27th the Bulldogs again took first place at Heritage. October 10th at Calhoun the team placed 5th out of 12 teams. This past weekend at Allatoona the Bulldogs took 1st place again.

The cheerleading team has four stunt groups. Their partner stunts score from the competition at Allatoona was a 6/8, the pyramid scored an 8/8, and the cheer also received a perfect score with 5/5. The final score from this weekend was 76.5, the team’s best score this season.

The league championship will be held Saturday, October 19th at Dade Middle School.

Coach Hayley Tanner had this to say about the team, “this team is such an incredible group of athletes. Hard work and dedication are both understatements when it comes to how they practice and work together. They support one another, they try again, and they get along. They encourage, they forgive, they make changes when needed. They respect one another and they respect their coaches- We are a family. Watching them gain new skills over the course of their middle school career and seeing them advance as a whole is such an amazing feeling. These girls are truly great kids and there is no stopping them in high school because of their positive attitudes and how much they love the sport. I can’t wait to watch them accomplish all of their goals!”
