Floyd County Schools: FREE & REDUCED MEALS: APPLICATION AND INFORMATION

Over the last two years, Floyd County Schools (FCS) has been able to provide free, nutritious meals to it’s students due to the USDA waivers associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the last two years, Floyd County Schools (FCS) has been able to provide free, nutritious meals to it’s students due to the USDA waivers associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. These federal waivers have enabled FCS to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students in all FCS schools, as well as provide free meal bags to anyone age 18 or younger when schools were closed.

These waivers expired on June 30, 2022, and the FCS Child Nutrition Program will resume its meal program prior to COVID-19.

Families should plan on the following for the upcoming school year:

  • Primary/Elementary Lunch Full Price $2.25

  • Middle/High Lunch Full Price $2.50

  • Adult Lunch $3.25

  • All grades Breakfast Full Price $1.00

  • Adult Breakfast $1.25

  • All grades Breakfast Reduced Price $.30

  • All grades Lunch Reduced Price $.40

All Floyd County families are encouraged to complete the Free or Reduced Meal Application to determine eligibility for the 2022-2023 school year.
