Chattooga County Schools recently sent out an information letter regarding meals for students who will begin Monday virtual learning on September 14th.
Students who are already enrolled in virtual learning also have an option for meal service. Parents are welcome to call the office at 706-859-3054 or email at bwooten@chattooga.k12.ga.us for information.
Dear Parent or Guardian:
As you know, Chattooga County Schools will transition to a four-day, hybrid learning schedule beginning September 14, 2020. This means our students will attend school virtually on Mondays. Tuesday through Friday will remain as in-house instruction days. It is our goal to make sure each student has access to safe, healthy, and affordable meals on virtual learning days. Chattooga School Nutrition is more than happy to prepare meals for your student(s) on virtual learning days. To be added to our meal distribution list for virtual learning Mondays, please let me know. Your response to this letter is needed even if you do not wish to receive meals on Mondays. Details regarding meal pick-up, such as times and locations, will be communicated to families as quickly as possible. To ensure you receive the most up-to-date information, please make sure we have an accurate phone number on file where you can be reached. I truly appreciate the patience and support of each of our families.
Distribution and payment of meals will be based upon current eligibility status. Some families may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. To find out if your family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, you may contact 706-859-3054.
