Brad Groce Becomes Minister to Students

Great Awakenings Coffee Company

Returning to his Chattooga County roots, Brad Groce will begin in a leadership role for area students in grades 6 through 12 this week. Following a worship service of installation planned for Sunday, Groce will join the staff of Summerville First Baptist Church as Minister to Students.
According to Groce, “In a time where so much negativity exists in the world, my goal is to be a positive influence to the students in this community, showing them that more than anything else, Jesus loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with each of them. No one is too lost to be loved, nor too low to be served. God has a plan for every student regardless of their background or home life. My ultimate goal is helping them discover that plan.”
Currently, Brad along with his wife and high school sweetheart Kari Witt Groce participate in youth activities and lead praise music during the blended traditional and contemporary worship service each Sunday morning at Summerville First Baptist. Together Brad and Kari have three children, Abby, Brady, and Blaine, who are also frequent participants in the worship and music offerings. This generation continues the family tradition of Christian music in Chattooga County begun by Brad’s grandfather Wayne Groce and parents Don and Teresa Groce.
Since 2001, Brad Groce has served as Contemporary Worship leader and as Youth Director or Minister to Students in five churches in the north Georgia Area. With this experience as well as being a father of three, Groce offers a vision of Christian leadership, growth, and service to the youth of Chattooga County.
Area students as well as parents, grandparents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend the service of worship and installation which will be held Sunday, 11:00 A.M at Summerville First Baptist Church. The church is located at 125 Georgia Avenue, just across from Summerville City Hall.
Additional information about the plans and vision for the student youth ministry will be shared at this service.
