The first project proposes to replace the existing bridge (Structure ID 295-5055-0) over West Chickamauga Creek, which was built in 1980 and is posted for weight restriction. The bridge is located 1.6 miles northeast of Chickamauga and is approximately 130 feet in length, consisting of two 10-foot travel lanes (one in each direction) with 4-foot shoulders.

The new bridge would consist of 11-foot travel lanes (one in each direction) with 6.5-foot shoulders and would be approximately 300 feet in length. The proposed bridge would be built on exiting alignment and an offsite detour would be required. The total project length is about 0.20 mile. Construction on the $4.3 million dollar bridge would be scheduled in 2025.

The second project proposes to replace the existing 262-foot-long bridge built in 1965 (Structure ID 295-5060-0) at County Road 434/Euclid Road/Lee Clarkson Road over West Chickamauga Creek. The length of the proposed project is approximately 0.24 mile.

The bridge would consist of one 11-foot travel lane and a 6.5-foot shoulder in each direction, replacing the existing bridge and urban roadway section. The proposed bridge would be replaced on existing alignment with the use of a 4.3-miles off-site detour for approximately 12 months during construction. The proposed detour would increase the length of the normal travel route by approximately 2 miles. Construction on the $4.6 million dollar bridge would be scheduled in 2026.
