Fire destroys Home on Tate Road

A fire destroyed a home this morning located at 1510 Tate Road in Trion. According to Northwest Georgia Scanner firefighters from Teloga Volunteer Fire Department, Trion Fire Department, Summerville Fire Department and Hays Prison battled the fully engulfed structure fire early Thursday morning. Chattooga County 911 received a call from a person reporting they could see the flames of the house fire from their house.

Firefighters arrived on scene around 6:15a.m. No injuries were reported, the family was not at home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The house is said to be total loss.
