Saturday, June 15th the Chattooga County 4-H BB Team will be hosting a car was in the Auto Zone parking lot in Summerville, Ga. The car wash will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The car wash will help raise money for the team to go to Nationals. This is the first year the Chattooga County 4-H BB team has qualified for a trip to the National Competition. “This is very exciting for all of us because this is the first time that a team from Chattooga County has ever been able to compete at this level,” parent volunteer Heather Bailey said.
The 2019 annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match to be held in Rogers, Arkansas July 3 – July 6, 2019.
Qualifying for the Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match takes practice, hard work, dedication and resourcefulness. Coaches begin with weekly classes of boys and girls. They have lessons on gun safety and proper handling. They form their five-member teams, along with two alternate athletes, then compete at the state level for the right to attend the Daisy Nationals. Teams are responsible for their own travel costs and often secure sponsors who share in the pride of having a local team go to this prestigious match.
Jackson Baker, Tyler Floyd, Tanner Nutter, Nasiah McVay, Halle Lively, Quitten Patterson, and Tobin Wooden will be representing Chattooga County.
“Any amount you would like to give would be greatly appreciated. All the money raised will help with the kids, coaches, and parents’ expenses,” said Bailey. The BB team is also accepting checks, the checks should be made out to Chattooga county 4-H and with “BB team” in the memo line.
