There will be free food distribution while supplies last.
Many of our local healthcare providers and organizations, including but not limited to, Amerigroup, Care Source, Chattooga County Health Department, Floyd Medical Center, Primary Healthcare Center, Redmond Regional Medical Center, and many independent clinical providers will work collaboratively to support and provide the services available to fair participants.
Chattooga High School HOSA students will also be volunteering their time to ensure each member of the community gets the care they deserve.
The Live Healthy Chattooga County Health Fair provides free basic health and cancer screenings, along with nutritional displays, CPR training, and healthy lifestyle information because they understand the importance of encouraging their community to be proactive in taking control of their health. By providing this information and accessibility to the community of Chattooga County, they are able to offer healthy feedback and identify at-risk individuals and guide them in their next steps. There will also be a healthcare professional on hand to review screening results with anyone who needs immediate assistance or help in understanding their results.
Live Healthy Chattooga County hopes this health fair inspires the community of Chattooga County to lead a healthier lifestyle by making positive changes and identifying bad habits. Encouraging individuals in the community to stop smoking, make healthier eating decisions, and make positive changes towards better physical and mental health is the first step in creating a healthier community for everyone.
Established by the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition and the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce, The Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition is comprised of community residents and volunteers, community leaders and decision makers, community organizations, and healthcare partners working together to improve the health for ALL Chattooga County residents.
