The Statesboro Police Department and Splash in the Boro are hosting Mariah’s Water Safety Day on Friday, July 7, 10:00 am – 5:30 pm, at Luetta Moore Park, 585 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Statesboro.
Mariah Jackson tragically lost her life in a swimming pool accident in April. The event is in her memory and in an effort to prevent a tragedy like this from happening again.
The event is free for children 3 -12 years old, and the first 50 children to sign up will be eligible for sponsored swimming lessons through Splash in the Boro. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
