The Bulloch County Board of Education will host its scheduled regular session on Thursday, March 9, at 6:30 pm, in the boardroom of the school district’s Central Office, located at 150 Williams Road in Statesboro.
The meeting will include a time on the agenda for public participation. Guests who wish to speak should arrive prior to 6:30 p.m., and sign in on the provided sheet at the podium.
Key topics for the meeting include the following: (1) an update about the district’s school attendance initiative; (2) a presentation about the Village Builders program; (3) information about the City of Statesboro’s zoning and annexation notices; (4) a vote on the proposed revisions to the Board’s Public Participation in Board Meetings policy; (5) the signing of two Board resolutions; one to request assistance from the Georgia Department of Education to update the district’s five-year facility plan, and the second to designate March as Music in Education Month; and (6) new business to place on the table for review concerning the Georgia School Boards Association’s legislative positions suggestions and the selection of a delegate and alternate for the association’s delegate assembly in June.
