World’s Largest Traveling Car-Show Passes Through Northwest Georgia

Auto enthusiasts had much to cheer for as the the 24th annual HOT ROD Power Tour passed through Northwest Georgia.

Auto enthusiasts had much to cheer for as the the 24th annual HOT ROD Power Tour passed through Northwest Georgia.  The highly anticipated tour is a seven-day, seven-city journey with more than 6,000 vehicles and an expected 100,000-plus spectators making this event the largest traveling car-show in the world! The 2018 event will take place from June 9-15. The tour started in Bowling Green, Kentucky and will end in Concord, North Carolina.

The cars passing through Northwest Georgia are a rare treat as the tour selects different routes each year. This year’s tour route from Chattanooga to Hoover, Alabama included Highway 27 through Walker and Chattooga Counties and then Highway 114 into Alabama.

June 9 – Beach Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky
June 10 – Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga, Tennessee
June 11 – Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama
June 12 – Atlanta Motor Speedway, in Hampton Georgia
June 13 – Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina
June 14 – PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina
June 15– zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina
