A burglary that occurred in Evans County on Tuesday has similar characteristics to those occuring in surrounding counties that have law enforcement agencies working together to stop what appears to be a team of burglars who have yet to be apprehended.
An Evans County resident posted on Facebook Tuesday saying he returned home from work to find his door kicked in and his home ransacked.
Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown held a press conference earlier in July to discuss a string of burglaries in the county, many of which seem to occur two at a time. In all instances, the doors were kicked in when homeowners are not home. The items of choice seem to consistently be guns and jewelry. You can read more about that here.

Law enforcement agencies are asking residents to be aware of their surroundings and any unusual activity on their road, to use alarm systems when available, and to avoid posting information about being out of town on social media.
The homeowner in Tuesday’s Evans County ransack has pledged a $25,000 reward for information leading to the an arrest and the return of his property. Anyone with information on this specific incident is asked to call the Evans County Sheriff’s Office – (912) 739-1611 – but any regional law enforcement agency will take information on tips related to thise incidents across Emanuel, Evans, Screven, Candler, Bulloch, Tattnall and Long counties.
