Matt Custred picked up the win in relief Wednesday afternoon, as the Rome Braves salvaged a win in a short home series with Charleston, winning 3-2 in eleven innings.
Rome got a solid start from Mike Soroka who gave up two runs – one earned – on five hits in five innings. That would be all the scoring the Riverdogs would manage in the game.
A Justin Ellison single on a fly ball to left fielder Nathan Mikolas scored Bradley Keller for the walk-off win in the eleventh inning.
