Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp reported that Tuesday’s voter turnout numbers exceeded previous records with a whopping 1.28 million Republicans casting their ballots and an additional 740,000 Democrats taking to the polls.
But how did Evans County vote?
Though several of the candidates had dropped out prior to Election Day, several of them still pulled in votes around Evans County. A total of 1,267 Republicans turned out with 442 Democrats.

- Dr. Ben Carson – 80 votes (6.81%)
- John Kasich – 42 votes (3.31%)

- Rand Paul – 1 vote (<1%)
- Mike Huckabee – 4 votes (<1%)
- Chris Christie – 2 votes (1.6%)
- Carly Fiorina – 2 votes (1.6%)
- Lindsay Graham – 0 votes (0%)
- George Pataki – 0 votes (0%)
- Rick Santorum –0 vote (0%)
DEMOCRAT
- Hillary Clinton – 347 votes – (78.51%)
- Bernie Sanders – 5 – (1.13%)
- Martin O’Malley –6 – (.88%)
- Michael Steinberg – 5 (1.13%)
Of the above totals, 46 people voted early by absentee ballot in the mail and 557 people voted early in person.
