Friends of Sloppy Floyd Park announce June Volunteer Saturday

Now that school is out, have you been looking for opportunities for your children, grandchildren, a group of youth that you lead, or just maybe an activity for yourself? Look no further.

Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park have planned another great outdoor volunteer event on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

Currently the group is planning to put down a fresh layer of mulch in our Pollinator Garden and clean out the fire rings in our Backpack Country campsites. Please bring gloves if you have them and wear comfy closed toe shoes.

The group will meet at the park office at 9:00 am and work until 12:00 pm. Water and snacks will be provided.

Following the completion of the projects, the “Friends” of James H. “Sloppy” Floyd State Park will be selling homemade ice cream and hot dogs from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. All volunteers will be given a hot dog, chips and a drink for free.

Casie Bryant is the NW Georgia Regional Manager for AllOnGeorgia.
