“Politically Incorrect” Sheriff makes it official with sign

One Georgia Sheriff is making waves with his “politically incorrect” sign.

Welcome to Harris County, Georgia! WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust; we salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you…LEAVE!

That’s the new sign posted at the Harris County line and Sheriff Mike Jolley is drawing a bit of fire for the picture he posted with the sign in Hamilton, GA.

The idea originated from another state, but it was a staffer who brought the language to his attention.

The sign was paid for by Jolley himself and he paid to have it put up as well. “Over the years, I’ve witnessed the silent majority grow and as a true patriot and a Christian, I felt it was time for the silent majority to speak up. I truly believe what’s on the sign,” Jolley told WTVM.

Jolley has told various media outlets that he has received positive feedback about the sign and he respects the opinion of those who don’t agree. He said his tenure in the U.S. Army was to protect the right to speak what’s on your mind, even if he doesn’t agree.

Jolley is already working to put more signs up around the county.
