She Leads is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his financial literacy platform administered through the Securities and Charities Division.
(ATLANTA) – Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is pleased to announce that She Leads, his office’s women’s investor education program, will be hosting another live webinar titled, “Building Wealth in Underserved Communities.” The hour long event will take place on Thursday, February 25th at 6 pm.
“Building Wealth in Underserved Communities” is a conversation about financially empowering underserved communities to build and grow wealth. Our guest speakers will discuss common challenges in underserved communities and will share resources and ways that can help. This event is free and open to all Georgians.
“The American experiment is about giving everyone the opportunity to succeed and providing underserved Georgians with the right tools and information to benefit from the state’s strong economy is a great way to do that,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “I am proud that my office is doing our part to make sure that as the economic pie gets bigger, more people can get pieces of it.”
She Leads is partnering with the Investor Protection Trust (IPT) to present the Building Wealth in Underserved Communities live webinar. The February webinar will feature Georgia’s financial leaders who will be ready to answer attendees’ wealth gap questions.
Speakers for the event include Principal & CCO of Financial Staples, Chloé A. Moore, CFP®; Managing Principal and Founder of Felton & Peel Wealth Management, Malik Lee, CFP®, CAP®, APMA®; and Lead Planner of Facet Wealth, Cait Howerton, MBA, AFC®, CFP®.
Building Wealth in Underserved Communities will be hosted by Lisa Hopkins, the President of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), the longest serving international organization devoted to investor protection and responsible capital formation. A priority of President Hopkins’ term is to focus attention on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
