[UPDATE] GA DNR: Notice of Possible Temporary Closures at Boat Ramps at Lake Oconee – Oconee River Area

UPDATE 03/30/2022: Dyar Pasture Boat Ramp and Recreation Area has re-opened after area work completion.

Lake Oconee and Oconee River Area Boaters and Anglers, Take Note:

Notice of Possible Boat Ramp Facility Closures: The USDA Forest Service has closed or will close three (3) boat ramps temporarily in the Lake Oconee – Oconee River area, including at Dyar Pasture, Redlands and Swords Recreation Areas.

During their temporary closures, these ramps will each receive some needed renovations and amenity upgrades.

The USDA Forest Service is conducting renovation and amenity upgrades at three (3) boat ramp facilities in the Lake Oconee – Oconee River area, including at Dyar Pasture, Redlands and Swords Recreation Areas.

While repairs and upgrades for all three areas are anticipated to be complete by end of April 2022, boaters and anglers should check the listing for each area at the USDA Forest Service Recreation Page before visiting or call 706-485-7110 (M-F, 8am-12pm; 1-4:30pm).
